About James A. Herbert

James A. Herbert is a lifelong Western New Yorker, a dedicated worker, and a family-centered leader shaped by decades of real, hands-on experience. Born in Buffalo on March 27, 1961, James grew up in the suburbs of Western New York and graduated from Pioneer Central School before studying Business Management at Empire State College.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Starting his experiences of work early in his life, James had worked at a local farm as a farm laborer, working early and into late hours, all while completing high school. This shows the determination and dedication that he would bring to the table.

Moving forward in life, he began his career at Motorola. Using and learning skills at this company, his job required computer engineering, soldering, and electrician combinations. Having to use all these skills on the line, James began to be a perfectionist, as his job required such attention to detail. His career went on for 20 years.

Moving forward in the workforce. James had moved his professionalism to a maintenance position with Suburban Adult Services facility closer to home. While using all kinds of trades at this position, he applied his skills with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and finish carpentry. At the same time in his personal life. James, along with his 2 sons, had converted 2 different businesses into fully functional restaurants. Completely to code of local building standards, completing the full conversion in 3 months' time for each business.

One job he had was being a land-man for Lexco. This job had James on the road. While going from home to home throughout the state, he had late nights at whichever local area he was in. James would acquire knowledge on local laws on seismic and land layout. Offering leases to landowners for the company, he would learn how to talk to the community. Understanding body language and earning the trust of whomever he would meet with.

Down the road, James took his specialties to become head of maintenance at Holiday Valley Ski Resort. His job duties required him to have the knowledge and skills to fix, build, or repair any building on location at any moment in time. Being responsible for over 500 condos and townhouses alone, he knows how to work for perfection at any given time of the day or night. Being able to get home from work, get a phone call, and turn back around to head back in was all part of the job. Working under pressure at a moment's time was a skill James would bring forward to life.

Our Goals And Priority

No Transgender talk in Grade schools

Children need to be treated as children, not to make life altering decisions at a young age. Children are like sponges so to speak. What they are taught, is believed to be how they view the world as to what is correct or not. Let kids worry about what it is that kids should worry about. If 1 parent/ guardian is against this topic being brought up in school, then it should become abolished just like other major controversies that have been argued in schools over time.

A Deep dive into the New York Laws as far as criminal prosecution laws.

The catch and release system that Ive seen recently is not acceptable. I have 1st hand witnessed criminals doing such illegal activities and being back on the street within DAYS. Having next to no reproductions other than an appearance ticket. Giving said criminals the ability to start right back where they left off. I understand the tactic of “releasing small fish, to catch the Bigger fish”, yet it seems as though even the “Bigger fish” are still being released too soon. It’s time to make our streets clean once again.

It's time that we take back our home, and once and for all, LET'S ALL LOVE NEW YORK AGAIN!!

Get rid of sanctuary cities laws

If they are not United States citizens, then you are here illegally, which is a federal offense. Thousands of immigrants in the past have come to this country and have successfully become American Citizens, simply by doing the work and EARNING the right to call this place home. New York various cities are currently aiding and abetting these criminals. Yet we stand by and watch our leadership simply turn away to these actions as if it’s not illegal to be here undocumented. This is simmply, a massive abuse of power that I among others would like to have cease to exist.

Look into Lowering taxes on goods

It is nonsense, with absolutely no reason as to why NEW YORK State has to be one of the highest costing State in the country.

The roads in this state are horrendous

In 2025, the New York State the Executive Budget was recommended to be $15.2 Billion. I myself have never seen the DOT do more than put road patch down, at least not on the roads from west of Albany, to hear in the western tier of NY. Certainly not $15.2 Billion worth of road construction or restoration.
